Whether you are a group of family and friends looking for an adventure with lasting meaning, or a group of co-workers thinking of adopting a project with your annual fundraisers, GrassRoutes Adventures (GRA), specializes in the development of creative opportunities and travel itineraries that are ideal for groups looking to make a difference. We at GRA are dedicated to working hand-in-hand with corporate groups, school groups, and other social groups to develop the experience of a lifetime that will not only contribute to team and group cohesion, but make a significant difference in the commitment to educational development and ultimately the global health of the world. GRA works with various non-governmental organisations (NGO) and local grass roots organisations in a number of countries and as a result have many opportunities for different types of projects. All of our tours, of course, add the exhilaration of adventurous travel that we hope will expand the way you see yourself as well as the world in which we live.

Schools and Universities

The guiding principal of GrassRoutes Adventures is to positively contribute to educational development initiatives while promoting the concept of global citizenship. Education in all facets empowers and offers new insight and opportunities whether they be academic, cultural, social, or worldly experience. In order to foster and instill the importance of education in all of these aspects, GRA has developed awareness campaigns and presentations that can be delivered to students in order to create awareness about international educational initiatives and to get students motivated to make a difference. Through our school program, a representative of GRA works with a school group to not only develop awareness, but also to get students involved in positively contributing with the ultimate goal to take these students to see and potentially work on international projects. GrassRoutes Adventures is committed to fostering a community of like-minded individuals that are motivated to participate in global sharing and experiences that can be nurtured at all levels of education and that create ties that last a lifetime.

In this age of economic diversification and globalization, there has been an increased awareness and demand for social, economic and environmental responsibility placed on the world’s companies and small businesses. At GrassRoutes Adventures we are dedicated to fostering the development of corporate responsibility in a professional and sustainable manner. The GrassRoutes Adventures process works to first educate and raise awareness about potential projects that companies can get involved in; we then design and support fundraising efforts to reach specific monetary goals among employees. This is followed by customized tours to the locations where the developmental projects are being completed resulting in a unified approach to understanding and seeing first hand the positive effect such initiatives can have in the lives of others.

GrassRoutes Adventures will provide you with uniquely tailored programs and tours that aspire to ensure three objectives are met:

1. Selected initiatives will have a positive impact in educational development where projects are being implemented with planned and supported sustainability

After weeks of planning and some nervous jitters, the students at Rundle College pulled off a huge success! April 12 - 21st, 2009 we'll be making our way through central Viet Nam, enjoying the coastal life and making a difference to a rural community in need! Justice Film Festival Join us for an inspirational weekend taking in an array of powerful international films and documentary's sure to make a difference. The best part is it's free! Halloween Horror! goodGiving is at it again, this time sending out a casting call to all those fans of horror yore to come dressed up as their favourite slasher for a chance at a starring role in the scariest bloodbath of all time! Rocky Mountain Ride 2008 The new route has been set for the annual ride for charity raising money to buy mobile libraries in Viet Nam. This year riders will cycle the south end of highway 93 between Banff and Invermere, as well as summiting the landmark Rundle mountain! Music to Change the World A successful night of great talent, and great tunes for all our supporters that made it out to the event (despite the conspiring forces of nature) which managed to raise over $1500 to contribute toward a library project in rural Viet Nam.
